Eğer, Keşke, Şayet…!

Eğer, şayet, keşke ifadeleridir geriye baktığımızda kurduğumuz cümlelerin başındaki sözcük. Ne çok isterdik bunca kaybedilmiş yılların olmamasını afetlere, felaketlere dirençli kentlerimiz olmasını ne çok isterdik ülkemizde ve tüm dünyada.

Dünyanın en büyük depremi 9,5 büyüklüğünde Şili Valdiva Depremidir. Bu depremden bu yana sadece 60 yıl geçmiştir. Bu günkü depreme asrın depremi ifadesini kullanmak, yıllarca süregelen ihmalleri küçültmekten başka bir anlamı yoktur.

En büyük pişmanlık bile dirençli kentlerin oluşturulmasında bizlere bir umuttur. Afetler olurken, düğümleniyor gündelik yaşam, felaketlere seyirci kalırken. Ve üzülüyoruz hep, bu son olsun, dersimizi alalım diye. Ve en son 17 Ağustos depremini ne çabuk unuttuk. Bugünlerde bile hala bir hummalı çalışma ile deprem konutlarını tarım arazilerine kurmayı aklımıza bile getirmememiz gerekirken yaptık, hem de sıcağı sıcağına.
